Data Suggest Communitarian Lockdown Tyranny Caused 55,000 to 165,000 Deaths in the Philippines in 2020

Since the Duterte administration refuses to take responsibility for the thousands of deaths its lockdown policy has caused in 2020, it will be up to the next president and his/her administration to investigate these deaths and support the families of the lockdown victims.

It is not a secret that the PSA and DOH statistics and data for 2020 are unreliable. Thousands of deaths in the country have been recorded incorrectly, and, overall, deaths have been underreported/underrecorded in 2020.

This means that we can’t use PSA and DOH data and statistics to calculate, or estimate, the number of deaths that the 2020 lockdowns have caused in the Philippines.

However, we do have reliable data upon which we can base our investigation into the 2020 lockdown deaths in the country.

The Belgian statistics agency, Statbel, records deaths on a daily basis, and this information is publicly available.

Below we see the mortality statistics for Belgium, for 2020 and previous years. We see that when the 2 lockdowns started, on March 18, 2020 and on October 19, 2020, the number of deaths increased immediately.

In total, the 2 lockdowns in Belgium have caused more than 18,000 deaths, or 0.15% of the country’s population.

In The Netherlands there was a similar situation. There, the lockdown started on March 15, 2020. Which was the last day of week 11 of that year.

From week 12 onward, or from March 16, the number of deaths increased immediately. As the statistics below, from the Dutch statistics agency (CBS), show.

In The Netherlands, the lockdown policies were responsible for the deaths of 9.346 people, or 0.05% of the country’s population.

Also in France there was a similar situation. Data from INSEE, the French statistics agency, show that also in France the 2 lockdowns have caused thousands of deaths.

So, we have established a scientific basis for our investigation, a basis that is more reliable and accurate than the data from the PSA and the DOH.

Clearly there is a pattern, a pattern that suggests that communitarian lockdowns cause the death of between 0.05% and 0.15% of the population.

For the Philippines, with an estimated population of 110 million people in 2020, this means that the lockdowns are, statistically, directly responsible for the deaths of 55,000 to 165,000 people.

Although we can argue about the actual number of lockdown deaths that the Duterte administration has caused, we can’t argue about the fact that the Philippine government must take responsibility for those lockdown deaths, and that it must provide support to the families of the lockdown victims who have died because of the Duterte administration its unacceptable and unconstitutional policies in 2020 (and in 2021 and in 2022).

According to government data, about 53,000 people allegedly died from “COVID” in the Philippines, since January 2020. Obviously, the lockdowns have caused many more deaths. Duterte’s lockdowns have caused (up to) more than 3 times as many deaths than SARS-CoV-2.

When a government causes the death of it’s country’s people, we speak of democide: “The killing of members of a country’s civilian population as a result of its government’s policy, including by direct action, indifference, and neglect.”Collins Dictionary
